FAQs
Common billing questions
What is a copay, and when do I pay it?
A copay is a fixed amount your insurance plan requires you to pay at each visit. We collect it at the time of your session. The exact amount depends on your specific plan — our team will confirm what to expect before your first appointment.
What if I don't have insurance?
We offer self-pay rates for uninsured patients. Contact our billing team to discuss your situation — we want to make sure cost is never the reason you don't get the support you need.
Do you offer a sliding scale fee?
Please reach out to our team directly to discuss your financial situation. We review these requests on a case-by-case basis and will work with you wherever we are able.
How long does it take to receive my bill?
After your session, we submit your claim to your insurer. Once they process it (typically 2–4 weeks), we will send you a statement for any remaining balance due.
What if my insurance denies the claim?
Our billing team will work on your behalf to appeal denied claims where appropriate. We will always communicate transparently about any outstanding balance and walk you through your options.
Will my telehealth sessions be covered the same as in-person?
Most insurance plans now cover telehealth behavioral health services at the same rate as in-person visits. Our billing team will verify your specific telehealth coverage before your first virtual session.
